On Sunday, Ruby found out that our hometeacher (a man from church who comes to visit with us monthly) was coming by in the evening. So. She put on a lovely dress and ballet slippers and decided that this was an occasion that merited hors d'oeuvres. She planned the whole thing all by herself. She served two different cheeses--Trader Joe's String cheese and rounds of Laughing Cow lite; and, four types of crackers--one each of stoneground, gorgonzola flavored, whole wheat and flaxseed, and Kashi. All of it was displayed artfully on a cookie sheet atop a carefully-placed-in-the-center-of-the-room ottoman.

Perfect! The apple doesn't fall far from the tree. I hope the hometeacher appreciated all the care that went into her offering.
