Yesterday, after we came home from a wild morning at the zoo, I had this conversation with R2:
Me: I need to go run a couple of errands in a few minutes. I thought maybe you'd like to come with me.
R2: I just feel like staying home.
Me: Hmm. (thinking that I'm changing the subject) Do you feel like you love your mom?
R2: I feel like I like my dad (who she knows is working in the other room and will be here if she stays home).
Would you call that manipulative?
